  2. My Arrival Day

My name is Kee and I arrived in Australia on 23 May 2009 early in the morning. I travelled with my husband and we had a good flight however, I wasn't able to sleep at all so when I arrived in Brisbane I was half sleep.

I was very tired but I was excited at the same time. Arriving in Australia wasn't mean too much to me because I used to live in UK before we decided to come to Australia.

After our arrival, we went to Queen Street for a walk and window shopping however we ended up buying lots of stuff.

After finishing our shopping we went back home for a rest. I never forget that relaxed time to be home. I could have slept 3 days if I didn't become hungry.

  4. My Arrival Story

My name is Sammi and I came to Australia from China by myself on 30 Jan 2009 in the morning.

It was very hot and humid that day but my husband was waiting for me at airport. I talked about my country , my feeling and stories on the way back home. Because it was my first time being abroad I was a bit nervous and confused. Every thing here was different to me so some of them was positive and some negative. For example, city was clean and people were quite friendly and it made me very happy but Brisbane was quiet and boring so I felt lonely a bit.

I thought that Australia is just like a big garden with lovely flowers and also nice houses and friendly people. Australia is not only lovely country but it is modern as well.

Althought my husband is a good cook, it was very difficult for me to taste the new western food because I love Chinese food.

I couldn't sleep that night because I missed my family and my friends but I didn't cry. I tell myself be strong because everything will be fine.

And now I think I am happy in Australia and I hope to visit my family and friends soon.
