Recount Writing

As I explained in the morning, you're required to write two pieces of recount. Topic could be selceted from one the followings: My Wedding Day My last holiday First time I met my wife/husband First day at the English College Each of the reports has to contain the followings: 120 words 10 irregular verbs 10 conjuctions 5 noun groups (adjective + noun e.g smart teacher) 5 sequence words (after that, then, before that, until, finally, first etc..) Remember that your report should contain a topic, an introduction (who, what, where, when...), at least 4 paragraphs and a conclusion paragraph. Good luck!

  1. My Last Holiday.

My boyfriend and I went in Australia the last June for the holiday.

At the beginning, we arrived in Brisbane. And we stayed one week in our friend's house. The weather was good and permited lot of beautiful excursions.
I though that it was a great place to live.

After that, we decided to go in Adelaïde. This city was very different than Brisbane. Fristly the weather was cold, secondly this city seemed sad because there wasn't any animation, attraction or just some people in the streets.
    We were very disappointed.

Later we rented a car for a trip on Kangooro Island. It's a Natural Reserve in the South of South Australia State. We saw some animals and vegetals.
    It was a magic memory.

At the end, we visited Sydney. The city was amazing. It was an dynamic and attractive place. After this visit we understood why Sydney was the first famous city in Australia.

To conclude, Australia was a country of all the contrasts. It was a great trip.

My first day in an English College.

My first day to the English College was in January of this year.

First of all, the English College was far away of the place where I lived. I took in first the car during 15 minutes, after I took the train from Ferny Grove Station to Fortitude Valley Station and to finish I walked only 3 or 4 minutes to arrive at my school.
I thought it was a long trip.

Next I was arrived at school, I felt very afraid because nobody spoke French and I didn't spoke English. But I was very motived to be here because I really wanted to learn English.
It was a very difficult day for me, I'm shy.

After, I had met my new classmats, I was in trust. All the people was friendly. They didn't juged me and didn't make fun of my poor vocabulary and my accent. Lot of them were really helpful with me.
I was happy to meet all this nice persons.

To finish, I just said that it was a really good day and I think I never forget this experience and this persons.

  4. Last holiday
My friends and I went on an excursion at Noosa Heads Beach on last Saturday. It was a wonderful and exciting excursion since I came to Brisbane.

Because getting there by train is quite difficult by train, we went there by car and it took seven hours to got there. The road was wet so we had to drive very carefully.

The beaches in Sunshine Coast are fairly beautiful and nice and there are many beaches but we visited only one famous beach, Noosa heads, because this beach has a long gold colour sand. We saw huge waves and swam for about 4 hours. We also had lunch there with my friends.

We took many pictures because there were many beautiful places suitable for taking photos. Later we changed our dress for taking more pictures with different cloths and styles. It was an excellent gathering with lots of friend.

Finally we got ready to come back but some of friend suggested to stay there more, so we decided to stay until dark and we drove back home safely.

It was a great journey and I like to go there again.

My first day at English in Australia
My brother and I went to the English college in June last year. It was my first happy day in Australia because I went to learning English.

It was quite easy to got college and safe as well. Firstly we walked from our house to Oxley station and caught Caboolture train and we got off at Fortitude Valley and it took 25 minutes, after that we walked to the college.

Before we joined the class, we met the other students. They were spoke with us very politely, that's why we felt good. After that they told us about learning English at this college. Later they showed us how to opened the door and where class room. The students were very helpful and heard working.

When I went to participate to the lesson and entered the class room, I was a little bit shy because I saw inside room lots of classmates with different faces and different dress style, also I didn't know how to spoke with other in English. It was a difficult for me.

Finally teacher spoke with me used by polite language. He asked me which country was you from and what's your name please, I did try to answer whatever I knew. After that the teacher went to the introduce each other to said name and you married or single. The teacher was very good and student as well.
