Writing Tasks (Mon-Thursday)

Hi everyone,
As I mentioned earlier, while I am away you are required to write 2 reports. One is about your place of birth (your city) and the other one is about Brisbane.

Remember that your reports MUST include the followings:
100 words (each report)
typed and saved (or you can post it to me on this weblog)

  1. My place of birth ( Taw Nor Mu Tall village)
    Location:
    This village was located in South East of Burma and it’s much closed to Thailand. The two countries borderline it has a long river called Salween. So that this village lived near by Salween.
    Attraction:
    We can see a huge green forest, high mountains, deep valley and waterfall but it’s not a peaceful land.
    Transportation:
    The transportation has very poor because it a rural area although we can use an elephant either a cart for transport in rainy season. We can travel by boat to other village
    Weather:
    It has three seasons called rainy season, cold season and summer. In rainy season villagers prepare to do their farm and paddy hill, because their main foods is rice.


    Brisbane city:
    Brisbane is located in South East in Australia. Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland State in Australia and the city is near by Brisbane River.
    Brisbane weather:
    It’s a sub-tropical weather in Brisbane. Brisbane has got the usual four seasons of summer, autumn, winter and spring. During the winter are pleasant and mild.
    Public transport:
    Brisbane has three main transports such as buses, train, and ferries. It’s quite used a lot of go card and some a few tickets. If we used public transports we always touch our go card on touch machine.
    Gold Coast:
    Gold Coast is the famous beach in Brisbane. Many of tourists come to visiting to the Gold Coast.

  2. Bangkok, Thailand

    In 1767 the Thai people moved down the Chao Phraya River and King Taksin established Thon Buri on the east side. He passed away 15 years later and the city was moved to the west side by his successor, King Buddha Yodfa known as Rama I . It was developed, mainly by King Rama V (1868 - 1910) and now is a busy metropolis.

    Bangkok is now a bustling city with a population of some 8 million as it is the centre of administration, transportation, business, communication, education, entertainment etc. for Thailand. The three main ethnic groups are Thai, Chinese and Indian.

    Visitors to Bangkok like to see the many Temples. The Grand Palace is the most famous with many murals and The Temple of The Emerald Buddha. Many attractions can be seen on a tour of the Chao Phraya River. There are also museums, shrines, markets, restaurants and Europeans like to hang out at Kao San Road. The night life in Bangkok is also very famous.

    Thai cuisine can be enjoyed in hotels, restaurants, at food stalls on the side of the road and in the markets. Thai food is famous for variety including Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Red Yellow and Green Curry, Papaya salad and many more.

  3. BRISBANE


    Brisbane is located on both sides of the Brisbane River. The city centre is on the north side opposite Kangaroo Point and Southbank. Although the city heart is compact, it is still rather quiet, particularly at night but Friday and Saturday nights are exceptions. Greater Brisbane sprawls from Cleveland in the East to Red Bank in the West and from Strathpine in the North to Beaudesert in the South.

    The population of Brisbane on 1st January 2011 was just over 2,000,000. It is the third biggest city in Australia. There are people from all over the world in Brisbane.

    Brisbane's cuisine covers Thai, Greek, Italian, Turkish, Japanese, Indian, French and Australian food. It is not just Vegemite a pavlova or a barbecue.

    The city is attractive and tourists can climb up the Story Bridge to over look Brisbane
    River and City or go rock climbing on Kangaroo point cliffs. In the summer time most people like to go swimming in addition to picnicking at South Bank and you could go to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, approximately 15 km from the city to see wild native animals while getting up close to them.

  4. cox'Bazzar
    Cox'sBazzar is located along the Bay of in the south Eastern Banglades.The town is a very big port and health resort.But it is famous for, it's unbroken long gold colour sandy beach.As a one of the most beautiful and famous torist spots in Bangladesh.The big source of economy in Cox'sBazzar is tourism.At the movement people from all over the world and Bangladeshi native visit this coastal city every year.As a result, a large number of hostel, guest house, motels have been built in the city near by beach.Many people are also involed in fishing and collecting seafood for their own home.Anyway the beach is main attraction of the city, for visitor covinians hotels provid exclusive beachside area with the inprotant thing.And there is another beach namely Labany beach wich is close to the town other then.There are several people of intrest near the town wich people can be easily from town centre.
    There are lots of village around the Cox'sBazzar and also some of village very famous.One of them called Ramo, is a village with millions of Buddhist population.The village is famous for it's handicrafts and homemade cigars and another one of the most intresting of this village is bank of Bagkhali river.During the rainy lots of water coming from this river.
    And also there is many parks and one of Safari park is an extevsion of animal sanctuary wich is located along the city road.However this town is more beautiful and most attractive but there are some risk and hazard.The town is prone to devestating cyclone and flood on a yearly basis.Another hazard of this town is the high natural background radiation wich has been found to be global average.
    However all these hazard mainly affect long term residents of the area and visiting tourist should be able to guard agaist the this risk with approprite precaution.And it's not are considerable problem because emargency healh servise are available in the town.
    The climate of the cox's bazzar is mostly similar to yhe rest of the country. It's futher characterised by the location in the caostel area.

    *Location
    Brisbane is capital of Queensland State, it is third biggest city in Australia. Brisbane location is southeast of Queensland. Brisbane central business CBD location at peninsula on brisbane river.

    *Weather
    Brisbane summer is a high percentage of humidity and hot, winter is the air dry and mild climate. From late spring to early autumn, the whole brisbane area has thunderstorms and house can suffer serious damage from hail,heavy rain and typhoon. For each person use the water low than elsewhere in the world for each person use the water.

    *Attractions
    Brisbane attractions are animals,fun,sports.
    Queensland has the perfact climate for Australian wildlife and close by are a number of places to see Australian animals and about an hour to the north is Australia zoo. Climb cliffs or the storey bridge or be a little more relaxed visit the man made beach on South Bank. The two main Stadiums are the Gabba and Suncorp.

    *Brisbane people are tendency and character.
    Australian people character are widely known merrily and cheerful. Specially, the Queensland people are much more liberality and kind as compared with to other area people. Brisbane people are relax and lie back. Whatever may happen optimistic, always leisurely and enjoy a life is the Brisbane people of tendency.

    The Brisbane city is located on the upstream from the mouth of the Brisbane river.The city centre is the located at south eastern corner of Australia.and it's a fast growing tourist destanation also it's popularity proven by the thousands who visit every year.Because it's close to the pacific ocean and the Brisbane river, the place is regular full fill of those who love water and beach.
    The cutural scene of the city is ever active and there no death of the events and festivel in the city, while you visit the city, you can go to the numerous art gellerise and satisfy your heart to see desires by withnessing famous painting made local as well as international artist.If you are music lover, then is the perfect destanation for you and also you can visit Fortitude valley, wich the musical hub of the city.
    Another attractive thing is in this city, is that, there are lots of park.Such as the Roma street park or Roma parklsnd wich is close to the roma street station, it's the largest subtropical garden in the in the world that is located at the centre of the city.
    It's covinians of the transport, people usually use train and buses as a public transport, the cost of the transport last year was so cheaper but this year it's quite expensive, however it's good for those who have not personal car.
    Anyway the weather of this city it's very nice, in the winter are really nice in Brisbane. weather in Brisbane during the winter are pleasant and mild. the day are usually bright and sunny with the average temperatures.

  7. BOGOTA - COLOMBIA

    Bogota is the capital of colombia.It is located in South America, on the west of the Savannah of Bogotá, 2640 meters above sea level so geographical is actually in the Andes mountains. The extended region is also known as "Altiplano Cundiboyacense" so "high plateau of Cundinamarca and Boyacá".

    Bogotá was originally called "Bacatá"and it was the center of their civilization before Spanish explorers colonized the area. The European Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada was founded on August 6, 1538 named "Santa Fé de Bacatá" after his birthplace Santa Fé and the local name but "Bacatá" had become the modern "Bogotá" by the time it was made the capital of the New Kingdom of Granada, The city soon became one of the centers of Spanish colonial power and civilization in South America.In August 2000 the official name was changed back to simply "Bogotá"


    The most popular touristic places in Bogota are the botanical garden José Celestino Mutis, La Quinta de Bolivar, the national observatory, the planetarium, Maloka, the Colpatria observation point, the observation point of La Calera, the monument of the American flags, and La Candelaria (the historical district of the city). The city has numerous green parks and amusement parks like Salitre Magico or Mundo Aventura.


    Tamale is a very traditional dish. The Colombian tamal is a paste made with rice, meat or chicken, chickpea, carrot, and spices, wrapped in platanos leaves and steam cooked (platano is a kind of a hard banana that has to be cooked before eating).
    Figs with arequipe. It is a dessert made whith milk an sugar.
    Canelazo is a hot drink from the Altiplano prepared with agua de panela, cinnamon and aguardiente.

    Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland and is the third largest city in Australia. Brisbane is situated in the picturesque southeast corner of the “Sunshine State”, “Queensland”. A tourist mecca with the Gold Coast under an hour away by highway, with long white sandy beaches and a world famous skyline. Also the sunshine coast is only an hour away to the north.
    With such attractions as Southbank, Movie world and Australia Zoo at its finger tips, many people make the journey to Brisbane to see these, and many more sights.
    Brisbane’s summer is hot and humid with temperatures in the mid thirties, with most of the rain in this time. While winter is dry and fine, normally with temperatures in the mid twenties.


    Brisbane is now a true multi-cultural city celebrating many different cultures and living in harmony together. With this in mind we can enjoy many different cuisines in Brisbane from all over the world. With Chinatown and the sunny bank communities having some of the nicest Chinese cuisine, and west end with Greek food, just brushes the surface.



    In recent times Brisbane has had some misfortune in the 2011 floods which devastated some suburbs in Brisbane. Although it has slowed things down a bit here, it also has shown the true spirit of the Brisbane people, who have banded together to support and help out those who have had misfortune.



    Brisbane, and the people of Brisbane will welcome you and make you feel at home, and after you leave you will want to return, soon.

  10. Sichuan

    Sichuan is a province in the southwest of China and its capital city is Chengdu. Sichuan means " four rivers", because there are four rivers running through Sichuan province, namely, Mingjiang, Tou jing, Jialingjiang and Wu jiang.

    Sichuans weather is subtropical and different places have different weather, its four seasons are distinct. For example in winter the weather is cold and it has less rain, but in summer is hot and the temperature can reach 40°c.

    Sichuan is the home for 88.16million people and has been greatest population in China before. The people are friendly and will welcome you when you visit.

    Most people speak "Sichuanese", in some areas people speak "Guangdong" and "Hunan"and a few people speaking Tibetans and the Yi. Which are all dialects of Chinese Mandarin.

    Sichuan is a beautiful place and lots of people go to visit Sichuan and "Jiuzhaigou", 'Huanglong" and "Sichuan Panda" which is especially famous. Sichuan is very famous for Panda.

    The Sichuan food is the most famous of the eight Chinese cuisine called "chuan cai ".The Chinese have a saying "chi zai Zhongguo, wei zai Sichuan ", which means China is the place for food but Sichuan is the place for flavor and it also has over 5000 different dishes. The Sichuanese always enjoy eating spicy food and hot-pot. For example most people eat only chilli with rice for meal, so the local woman are call "la mei zi " means spice girls

  12. My home city 'Tehran'

    Tehran , the capital of Iran is one of the largest cities in Western Asia, and is the 21st largest city in the world.

    Tehran located in north part of the country between Alborz mountains and Central dessert . This part of Iran has potential earthquake .so its on of the more important concern and worry of people who lives in Tehran .

    Climate of Tehran is semi-arid, continental . Four precise seasons in Tehran ( and Iran ) are : Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter . It is mild in the spring, hot and dry in the summer, pleasant in the autumn, and cold in the winter . The hottest month is July ( with maximum temperature 36°C) and the coldest is January ( minimum temperature -1°C) . Although compared with other parts of the country Tehran has moderate climate .

    The population of Tehran is approximately 14 million in 2009 .This number shots up each year by immigrant people from the different towns and cities of Iran .

    Tehran has many modern and classic restaurants. The most popular dish of the city is the chelow kabab . However, fast food like Pizza and sandwich is becoming popular, especially with the younger generation in the city.

    Tehran has severe air pollution that made by cars and industrial parts in the city and sound pollution that made because of over population in the city .

    Tehran is an old city and has many architectural and cultural buildings . Milad Tower and Azadi Tower are some Tehran's symbols . The Milad complex is fourth tallest tower in the world that has several restaurants, a five star hotel, cinemas , a trade center and park . also there are many amazing parks, beautiful gardens, cultural and historical museum around the city that attract many tourists from all the world each year.
